Greener Cuckfield
Greener Cuckfield’s mission is to support the local community to create a sustainable future and to protect our natural environment.
What we aim to do
- Develop a network of local people, businesses and organisations interested in sustainable living and working
- To create a set of reliable online information, resources and platforms to enable people to inform themselves and share knowledge about sustainable lifestyle options
- To provide a forum for Cuckfield-based sustainability groups to unite under one umbrella
- To initiative and support local sustainability campaigns, initiatives and projects
- To project manage and run sustainability initiatives such as recycling if there is an identified local gap

What we have done so far?
- Put on events to spread awareness for waste prevention practices and best sustainable living
- Set up bins for terracycling, soft plastics, plastic dental waste and plastic beauty waste at Queen’s Hall
- Run a bio-diversity competition to engage with school aged children and get them thinking about nature
- Consistently supporting anyone in the community interested in reducing their carbon footprint
- Held regular meetings to discuss ways we can contribute to taking care of our planet
- Connected with other local sustainable groups and people from surrounding villages
- Set up a WhatsApp group, website and social media accounts to inform, support and connect local residents who want to find out more about sustainable steps or contribute to any discussions
